REPORTS

INDECENT EXPOSURE, 2024-08110104, 400 block of 23rd Street S. At approximately 12:46 p.m. on August 11, police were dispatched to the report of an exposure. Upon arrival, it was determined that the adult female victim and juvenile female victim were walking out of a business when they were approached by the male suspect who then allegedly exposed himself and made inappropriate statements. The victims then ran from the scene and called police. A lookout was broadcast, and a responding officer located the suspect nearby and detained him without incident. Mark Allen, 50, of No Fixed Address was arrested and charged with Indecent Liberties with Child, Indecent Exposure (3+ Offense in 10 Years) and Drunk in Public. He was held without bond.

VEHICLE TAMPERING (Significant), 2024-08100021, 1500 block of Arlington Boulevard. At approximately 2:58 a.m. on August 10, police were dispatched to the report of individuals breaking into parked cars in a parking lot. Upon police arrival, the suspects fled the scene on foot. A perimeter was established, and two suspects were found hiding nearby and taken into custody. Items located with the suspects include an unserialized 9mm “ghost” gun loaded with nine rounds of ammunition, a window punch device, and a claw hammer. The investigation determined the suspects allegedly entered three vehicles and attempted to steal one of them by tampering with the ignition. Noel Sanchez, 19, of Alexandria, VA, was charged with Attempted Grand Larceny of a Vehicle, Possession of Burglarious Tools, Tampering with a Vehicle, and Conspiracy to Commit Larceny. Nixon Menjivar, 18, of Alexandria, VA, was charged with Attempted Grand Larceny of a Vehicle, Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon, Possession of Burglarious Tools, Tampering with a Vehicle, and Conspiracy to Commit Larceny.

ROBBERY,2024-08110073, 3400 block of Washington Boulevard. At approximately 9:38 a.m. on August 11, police were dispatched to the report of an assault just occurred. Upon arrival, it was determined that the male suspect entered the business, allegedly stole merchandise, and exited the store without payment. When the suspect was outside the business, he was confronted by loss prevention personnel and the suspect kicked them and fled the scene on foot. A lookout was broadcast, and responding officers located the suspect at Fairfax Drive and N. Nelson Street and took him into custody. Kermit Meredith Jr., 29, of Washington, DC was arrested and charged with Robbery and Public Intoxication.

MALICIOUS WOUNDING BY MOB, 2024-08120018, 2600 block of Pershing Drive. At approximately 2:06 a.m. on August 12, police were dispatched to the report of an assault with injury. Upon arrival it was determined that the victim attempted to enter an establishment but was denied entry by security. Suspect One then approached the victim outside the establishment and engaged him in conversation. Shortly after, Suspect Two exited the establishment and a physical altercation ensued during which the victim fell to the ground and was assaulted by Suspect One. Suspect Three then exited the establishment and joined the altercation by assaulting the victim. All three suspects then entered a white SUV with Maryland license plates driven by Suspect Four and fled the scene. The victim was transported to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Suspect One is described as a Hispanic male, average build, with black mid-length hair, and a black beard wearing black t-shirt, jeans, and white shoes. Suspect Two is described as a Hispanic male, average build, with short black hair wearing a white t-shirt, light blue jeans and white sneakers. Suspect Three is a described as a Hispanic male, athletic build, with short black hair, wearing a black hat, a white shirt, black jeans and black and white sneakers. Suspect Four is described as an unknown race female. The investigation is ongoing.

ROBBERY, 2024-08090107, 900 block of N. Stafford Street. At approximately 2:53 p.m. on August 9, police were dispatched to the report of an armed robbery. Upon arrival, it was determined that a male suspect was a passenger inside a taxi when he brandished a firearm and demanded cash. The driver pulled over and the suspect stole the contents of the driver’s wallet, exited the vehicle and fled the scene on foot. No injuries were reported. A lookout was broadcast and responding officers conducted a canvass of the area for the suspect yielding negative results. The suspect is described as a Black male, 5’8, approximately 50-60 years of age, wearing a black hair covering, and a black jacket. The investigation is ongoing.

BURGLARY, 2024-08100015, 1500 block of Wilson Boulevard. At approximately 1:47 a.m. on August 10, police were dispatched to the report of a larceny just occurred. Upon arrival, it was determined that the male suspect forced entry into the closed business, causing property damage. The suspect then stole an undisclosed amount of cash from three cash registers before fleeing the scene on foot. Responding officers conducted a canvass of the area for the suspect yielding negative results. The suspect is described as a white male, approximately 6 feet tall, mid to late 20’s, approximately 150 lbs, wearing a striped long sleeve shirt and blue jeans. The investigation is ongoing.

UNLAWFUL ENTRY, 2024-08090193, 2100 block of N. Taylor Street. At approximately 10:26 p.m. on August 9, police were dispatched to the report of suspicious circ*mstances. Upon arrival, it was determined that a witness observed the door to a vacant residence open and called police. The initial investigation indicated that the unknown suspect(s) entered the vacant residence and subsequently fled the scene. There are no suspect description(s). The investigation is ongoing.
