An excavator hydraulic quick coupler is a device that enables fast and efficient attachment changes on a mini digger or excavator. Alongside this, the HQX coupler is manufactured with a centralised lifting eye which comes with a certificate of conformity to support the LOLER testing. The Rhinox hydraulic quick coupler is LOLER rated between 800kg and 5,000kg, depending on the size of your coupler. The working load limit (W.L.L) of your specific coupler will be outlined on the data plate, located on the inside of the coupler body. The lifting eye is centrally located on your coupler to ensure even load distribution and prevent uneven pulling on your machine. This positioning also minimises contact with the ground, reducing wear and tear to your coupler.

Inbuilt Safety Features

To ensure optimal safety during operation, the Rhinox HQX quick coupler has been designed and manufactured with numerous inbuilt safety features. The hitch features a twin locking mechanism which secures the front and back pin of your attachment in place while in use. The locking rear latch locks the rear attachment pin into the latch, with the oversized coil spring providing a positive pressure on the latch when engaged to ensure the latch remains closed. The curved front hook features a 'deadlock' latch which is designed to lock the front attachment pin into the front hook to avoid unsafe ejection during operation. The curved front hook also features a pin pocket, which helps secure the attachment pin and minimises the risk of the attachment sliding away during connection.

In the event of a hydraulic system failure, for example disconnection of one of your hydraulic hoses, the HQX coupler possesses a hydraulic check valve which maintains pressure in your hitch to ensure your attachment is not unsafely ejected. Without this feature, there's a higher chance that your attachment could disconnect unexpectedly, potentially leading to damage or injury to equipment or nearby groundsman.

Dedicated Fitting Kits

Depending on what pipework has been fitted to your digger from the factory, there may be some other hydraulic and electrical components that you will need to be able to fit the Rhinox hydraulic quick coupler to your excavator. To make fitting quicker and hassle free, we have designed dedicated fitting kits for your machine make and model. For easy installation, we have also colour coded and labelled each of the hydraulic and electrical connectors to make it easy for you to know which connections go together. All Rhinox HQX quick couplers will be delivered with a user manual and inspection record sheet, instruction sticker to go inside the cab and 2x dipper arm safety stickers. All fitting kit components are available for next day delivery in the event you need replacement parts during fitting or servicing.

Your fitting kit could include: OEM-style Coupler Activation Switch - A small switch designed to be neatly installed into the dashboard of your excavator, that will enable you to lock and unlock the latches of your coupler. Coupler Control Unit - Displays a series of LED lights used for testing functionality and troubleshooting. All necessary hydraulic hoses, fittings and components for your digger make and model. Some of which include: boom hose kit, tail hose kit, solenoid valve and pressure switch assembly.
